After a childhood full of music and an academic degree in forestry (Freiburg, Umeå, Göttingen), Armin Seebass found his true calling in a combination of his interests in timber and tones and made for the violin making school of Newark-on-Trent / England.
Soon he specialized in bows and spent his travels in England, Germany and Belgium, gaining profound insight into Europe's three most important bow-making schools.
Among his most influential teachers we find Derek Wilson and Robert Pierce, Peter Benedek and Silvio Bendik as well as Pierre Guillaume and Blaise Emmelin.
Since summer 2003, Armin Seebass lives and works in Finland.
